The weekend offers a the chance to breath and relax from the week at work, and if you are still wondering what to do in Bedford and Mount Kisco this weekend, take a look below at the options presented by The Daily Bedford and The Daily Mt. Kisco.

  • If you have a child at Fox Lane High School in the Bedford Central School District, advise them to take note of the Visiting Artists Day on Friday. 
  • If you wish to spend a night in a “sweet” way, head to the Katonah Library’s Garden Room and watch “Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,” starring Gene Wilder. It will be at 7:00 p.m. and the admission is free. It is sponsored by the Katonah Village Improvement Society.
  • Valerie Tripp will be making her way to the Bedford on Friday. If you are a Mount Kisco resident, don’t fret about missing Friday in Katonah, as there will be an opportunity to meet Tripp in the Mount Kisco Public Library on Saturday. The three-part American Girl event will begin at 11 a.m at the library, ending around 2:30 p.m. Entrance fee is $5 per child, and $10 per family.
  • The Katonah Museum of Art will be holding the Target Picture Story Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., which will be offering art for all ages. Dr. Pete Richel, a pediatrician, will be reading from his new book,“My Medicine Bag,” and will be bringing a bag of doctor’s tools to display. Admission is free.
  • The Harvey School will be hosting its second annual Children’s Carnival for Charity, which is sponsored by the Community Service Club of Harvey and is offered for local families with grade-school aged children. There will be bouncy stations, traditional carnival games, a juggler, stories and crafts for preschoolers, a "salon" for the girls, raffle prizes, baked goods and lunch for sale. There will also be dance workshops in the Lasdon Black Box Theater. Admission is free, and it will be from noon to 4 p.m.  All proceeds go to Habitat for Humanity and The Reading Village.
  • In the early morning on Sunday, the Bedford Lions Club will be hosting a Valentine’s Pancake Breakfast at the Bedford Hills Community House. It begins at 8 a.m.
  • The Katonah Art Center is gearing up to “Chill Out” on Sunday for a fundraiser.
